What HideID is

HideID is an iPhone app that helps you find where your personal information appears on people-search and data-broker sites and guides you through removing it. You submit each broker's opt-out form yourself; HideID guides the process and keeps a local record of what you submitted.

Beta software

HideID is currently beta software provided through Apple TestFlight. It is provided "as is," may contain bugs, and may change or be discontinued at any time. Features described as "coming later" (such as ongoing monitoring and reappearance alerts) are not available yet and are not promised by these terms.

No guarantee of removal

Data brokers control their own removal processes. HideID cannot guarantee that any broker will accept, process, or honor an opt-out request, or that removed information will not reappear. Status information in the app reflects what you and the app have recorded, not a guarantee about a broker's behavior.

Subscriptions and testing

HideID may show subscription options inside the app while we prepare for launch. During TestFlight testing, any purchase you make goes through Apple's sandbox environment and is not a real charge. Whether paid subscriptions are actually available for real purchase depends on App Store Connect configuration and our launch status, and may not be live yet.

If and when a paid subscription becomes available for real purchase, the price and billing period are shown clearly on the purchase screen before you buy, billing is handled by Apple, and the subscription auto-renews until you cancel it in your Apple subscription settings. Premium features only activate when the HideID service actually supports them. We do not offer a free trial, and we will not introduce one until ongoing monitoring is real and explicitly enabled.

Acceptable use

Use HideID only for your own personal information, or information you are legally authorized to manage. Do not use the app to submit false opt-out requests or to interfere with any third-party service.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, HideID and its creators are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the beta, including actions taken or not taken by data brokers.
